The Gazette notification related to the revision
of water tariffs has been issued by the Ministry of Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development.
Accordingly, the new water tariffs are to be implemented effective from August 21, 2024.
On August 13, the Cabinet of Ministers granted approval for the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) to reduce the water tariffs based on the tariff formula.
Accordingly, the water tariff of domestic users has been reduced by 7%, government hospitals by 4.5%, schools and religious places of worship by 6.3%.
